Goeducks

Geoducks not goeduck as some mistakenly call them, can live on for over a hundred yrs. Commercially they're reared in aquaculture, or are harvested in the wild by divers with hydraulic lines. Geoducks are amongst the longest-living animals in the globe. Growth-ring analysis has shown numerous geoducks living for more than a hundred yrs.

Geoducks weighing over 7 lbs have been dug out and substantiated by WDFW biologists, and even much bigger specimens have been reported by harvesters. Geoducks mature quickly, typically reaching 1.5 lbs in 3 to 5 yrs.
