Yarmouth is a modest township along the coast of Maine approximately a 15 min ride north of Portland , Maine . It is remarkably affluent for its size, particularly for Maine .

Yarmouth is one of Maine’s more precious townships, sporting a Main Street that should be the role model of every modest town in the commonwealth. With its town hall, library, stores and other commercial enterprises bundled within a ½ mile radius of one another, it is still a place that encourages the walker.

Yarmouth is just about square in contour, and is divided up through the center by the Royal River. Cousins River divides it from Freeport to the north-east, and the latter with Pownal bound it to the east, North Yarmouth to the north, Cumberland to the west and Casco Bay to the south.

The Yarmouth Clam Festival takes place every summertime, during the 3rd weekend in July in the enamoring coastal small town of Yarmouth, Maine. This summer custom attracts visitants from all over the country who come to relish the music and artworks, events and competition, and naturally, the scrumptious food.
